just lay down it's just the grass
the ground our comfort

a wooly blanket
well perhaps we go back
when my jumper's not enough to keep us warm
there's cream on my lips i think i'll wash it off with lemonade and kisses
may your legs never catch on that old thistle bush
and i hope my hat stays on

you are the stem
but that water's freezing i hope we dry in the sun
oh wait what's that a rain shower
a frog on a bank
two people now one person slip beneath a blue-eyed day
and that 3rd time again
caused our smiles to widen
